This or That

I'd rather be a house than a shack
I'd rather be alone than in a pack
I'd rather be Zoey than Zack
I'd rather be lunch than a snack
I'd rather be purple than black
I'd rather be in a clump than in a stack
I'd rather be in a pool than on the track
I'd rather be a hole than a crack
I'd rather be a sit-up than a jumping jack
I'd rather be a dog than a yak
I'd rather be a shelf than a rack
I'd rather be tape than a tack
I'd rather be at peace than attack
I'd rather be silent than clack
I'd rather be a kiss than a smack
I'd rather be a shirt than a slack
I'd rather be a potato than sack
I'd rather be in Ottawa than in Pres du Lac
I'd rather be a maple than a sumac
I'd rather be a knick than a knack!

What If?

Can You Imagine?

The world without rain
A horse without a mane

Hens without clucks
Ponds without ducks

Trees without leaves
Oceans but no seas

Beaches without sand
A rock concert but no band

Bees without honey
Easter without a bunny

Patients without nurses
Paris Hilton without her purses

Hockey without a puck
Leprechauns with no luck

Can you imagine?

The Ominous Ocean

An intensive rush
Of dark ocean water
Smashing,
Crashing,
Thundering,
Waves of destruction
Dashes,
Splashes
Pounds
Gallons of ocean water
Howling
Screaming
Shrieking
Screeching
The waves roar
Rumble
Growl
Towards the shore
Water
Splatters
Clatters
Grinds
To a halt
As it hits the sand
Hushed
Noiseless
Soundless
Mute
And then it begins again!
